National Citizen Service (NCS) is a four week programme for 15-17 year olds. Participants embark upon a range of exhilarating challenges which build skills for work and life. Part of their programme involves a period of social action, where teams choose a charity to work with. This year, we are thrilled that NCS Team 7 in Chichester, have chosen to work with PACSO.

Last week, Caitlin, Danielle and Kat from Team 7 popped in to the PACSO Playscheme with their mentor, Donna. They had a tour of the venue and joined in some of the fun. Following their visit, they went away and chatted about some different ways they could support us. One of the things they have done is to set up a Just Giving page at They have already raised £85 + Gift Aid, which is a wonderful achievement in such a short time.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 10th August), the team are rollerblading in fancy dress along Bognor seafront to raise awareness for our work. If you see them, please give them a wave and say hello. Unfortunately, local by-laws prevent them from collecting cash, but if you’ve been touched by what they are doing, please head over to their Just Giving page, where you can donate as little or as much as you would like for this great cause.

If you would like to find out more about NCS, or if you know anyone who would like to take part in future programmes, head across to their website –

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Donna, Caitlin, Danielle, Kat and everyone else who is a part of NCS Team 7, for choosing PACSO and for going out of their way to support us. We appreciate everything you’re doing for us and are so glad to have you as part of the PACSO family. Thank you!
