When your child is first diagnosed with a special educational need or disability, it can feel as though you’ve been dropped onto another planet. Whether your little one is diagnosed prenatally, at birth, or at some point prior to starting school, you can suddenly find yourself in a world where everything that was familiar is turned upside down. There is a whole new language to learn, experts to speak to whose job title you can’t even pronounce, and more appointments to attend than you would ever have thought possible.

Through it all, it is easy to lose sight of the little things: the importance of friendships – for you and your children;  the opportunity to do ‘normal’ things; and the chance to relax with a cup of coffee-which someone else makes for you-whilst your children play and learn.

Little PACSO is our weekly support group for parents and carers having a child aged 0-5 with a disability or special educational need. Bring all of your pre-school children along and meet other families in a similar situation to yourselves, in a warm and relaxed setting.

Term time only.  Admission is free (£1 suggested donation), and you are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you wish.
