We caught up with Helen after one of her recent training sessions. She told us: “I am running for PACSO because my daughter has been coming to clubs since she was two and a half years old. She enjoys the activities, and really loved canoeing at the CYE Family Fun Day!”

Running a marathon is tough and requires commitment, but Helen told us that her training is going well. When we spoke, she had just completed a 16.5 mile run in 3hrs and 4mins. “I now need lots of lovely people to sponsor me so I can raise as much money as I can. That will make the aches and pains worthwhile!”

Helen has set up a Just Giving page, to help her raise money as easily as she can. The link to her page is UK tax payers can tick the Gift Aid box so the government can top up your donation with an extra 25p per £1 given.

Alternatively, you can pop a cheque in the post, payable to PACSO and sent to our office address: Unit 4, St James Works, St Pancras, Chichester, PO19 6PP. Please write ‘Helen’s Marathon Run’ on the back of your cheque!

Thanks Helen for raising much-needed funds for PACSO! We admire you for challenging your body so you are in peak fitness on the big day. In the meantime, please keep us updated on your progress, as we all want to hear how you’re doing!

Good luck!
